I really hope one day I am sitting beside someone reading off a Kindle. I also hope that we are reading the same book. I hope even further that we are at the same part.

Then I hope while we are about to reach the climax of the story, that their battery dies.

I hope one day I’m sitting with my iPad next to someone with a book.  I hope we come across a word we don’t know and I look it up in the built-in dictionary.  I hope that we’re at the same part in that book.  And then I hope to finish the book and move on to the sequel with two taps of my finger.  And then play a movie. And Netflix. And youtube. And surf the web. And check my email. And tumblr. Cuz I can. Oh yeah, and still have tons of battery because I’m not a complete moron. And then I hope their book’s binding falls out because the publisher used cheap glue to lower costs. And the paper is ripped because it’s been in a bookstore for six months and has been manhandled by three year olds.

But I really don’t hope things cuz I’m not a giant tool. Reading is reading.
