FTW! The scene inside SpaceX’s Mission Control in Hawthorne, CA earlier this morning. Today at 8:56am CT, SpaceX and their spacecraft “Dragon” made history becoming the first private company to dock at the International Space Station. “Look’s like we got us a dragon by the tail,” relayed the International Space Station to SpaceX and NASA Mission Control in Houston.

Everybody is looking for the next big “bubble”. Maybe it’s bonds. Or tech stocks. Or … college? With tuition soaring and job prospects not, a growing chorus thinks higher education might just be too big not to fail. The calculus is simple. If college costs keep rising, but job prospects don’t improve, eventually higher education won’t be worth it. Pop goes the campus bubble — or so the story goes.

That brings us to one of the more inauspicious recent headlines. For the first time ever, the majority of the unemployed have attended some college. Does this mark some kind of inflection point? Is it time to ditch the classroom for the office? Not exactly. […]

The chart above isn’t a story about a college degree no longer paying off. The chart above is a story about more people going to college, but not nearly as many more people finishing college.

The chart also doesn’t note the wage disparity between college and high school. There is a lot of factors at play including baby boomers working longer than their predecessors because their savings were just wiped out. So no, keep on with the higher education. It leads to an infinitely better standard of living.

Say What Now of the Day: Pastor Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, North Carolina, went on an anti-President Obama rant earlier this month during a sermon. Then he got off topic:

I figured a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers. Build a great, big, large fence — 150- or 100-mile-long — put all the lesbians in there… Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out… And you know what, in a few years, they’ll die.

He ended his sermon with this thought:

God have mercy. It makes me pukin’ sick to think about — I don’t even whether or not to say this in the pulpit — can you imagine kissing some man?

Notice the “Amens” from the congregation throughout.

He would roast the loin, grill the legs, braise the forequarter and use the horn to pick your teeth with after the meal. For the record, unicorn marrow is delicious, he says.

Well, she asked. Not sure which is more creepy, though: Bourdain’s answer or a little girl who wants to cook a unicorn.
